Description: Deputy Nunnery was on a manhunt searching for a drunk suspect who had shot and killed a fellow officer. The deputy encountered the suspect and ordered him to surrender. The suspect appeared to be surrendering when he pulled out a pistol and shot and killed Deputy Nunnery. The suspect was captured, convicted, and hung. Deputy Marshall Willis Hemby was also killed in this incident.
