Description: Deputy Nicholson arrested a man on suspicion of check forgery and was escorting him to jail. Two blocks away from the station, the man took out a concealed weapon and shot Deputy Nicholson twice through the heart. The suspect hijacked a car and fled the scene. The suspect was later captured in Texas and extradited back to Oklahoma to stand trial. The suspect was found guilty and sentenced to die in the electric chair.
