Description: Officer Norman succumbed to injuries sustained 21 years earlier when his patrol car was struck by a teenage drunk driver. Officer Norman was responding to a domestic disturbance call with his siren and emergency lights activated when the patrol car was struck by the teen driver. The accident rendered Officer Norman a quadriplegic, and his death was determined to be a direct result of the injuries sustained in the crash. The intoxicated driver was sentenced to six months in a halfway house and was forbidden from ever holding a driver's license in the state of Georgia.
