Description: Sergeant Noyes was killed by a man who had barricaded himself in his house and threatened to kill himself. The mentally deranged man shot and killed Sergeant Noyes, himself and his dog after a long standoff with police. Although Sergeant Noyes was wearing his vest, one of the rounds penetrated his vest and killed him.
