Description: Officer Nichols responded to a call to assist a local business owner concerning a dispute with a customer. The suspect customer began to argue with Officer Nichols and struck the officer over the head with a concealed weapon. Officer Nichols attempted to arrest the suspect for assault. The suspect then fatally shot Officer Nichols twice.
