Description: Sergeant Newbill was shot in a planned attack on law enforcement. The suspect, armed with a high-powered rifle, fired into the emergency dispatch center at the local Courthouse with the intent to lure people into the line of fire. Sergeant Newbill was fatally shot as he rushed to the courthouse. The suspect fled the scene and murdered one more citizen before he turned the rifle on himself and committed suicide.
