Description: Deputy Sheriff Norton wasaccidentally shot when his pistol dropped from its holster, fell to the floor and discharged. Deputy Norton was in the Sheriff's Office and had been instructed by the Sheriff to go to the jail. Deputy Jones picked up the pistol from the table and the pistol dropped. Deputy Norton died at the scene.
