Description: Officer Niemi was shot and killed after responding to a disturbance call. Officer Niemi was interviewing some of the residents outside the victim's home when a man drove up to the scene and began talking to Officer Niemi. Without warning the man produced a handgun and shot Officer Niemi several times. Officer Niemi was pronounced dead at the scene.
