Description: Police Officer Nelson was shot and killed with his own gun while responding to a domestic disturbance call. Officer Nelson responded to a call that a suspect had stabbed three women. When Officer Nelson arrived a struggle ensued with the suspect. The suspect gained control of Officer Nelson's firearm and fatally shot him. The suspect then fled the scene and barricaded himself in a local convenience store. SWAT Team members were able to extricate him from the store several hours later and place him under arrest. Officer Nelson was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
