Description: Officer Noonan was injured by railroad torpedoes that he had confiscated from several suspects that he was attempting to arrest for causing a public disturbance. Officer Noonan responded to the noise of the explosives and ordered the suspects to stop. Officer Noonan took several of the torpedoes and placed them in his coat pocket. In a scuffle with one of the suspects, Officer Noonan fell to the ground which caused the torpedoes to explode. Officer Noonan sustained major injury to his intestines and was transported to the hospital. Officer Noonan died of his injuries three days later.
