Description: Officer Nielsen was killed in an automobile accident while responding to an emergency call. While responding with emergency equipment activated, another vehicle ran a red light and struck Officer Nielsen's patrol car. The patrol car struck a utility pole and burst into flames. Officer Nielsen was trapped inside the burning vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene.
