Description: Officer Nelson was killed in an automobile accident while responding to a burglary call. While responding, a truck pulled out in front of his patrol unit causing the accident. Officer Nelson tried to swerve his police unit and avoid the accident, but his patrol unit struck a guardrail and overturned. Officer Nelson's K-9, Caesar, who was in the patrol unit with him was also killed.
