Description: Officer Nava responded to a call to an accident on I-5, in the San Diego area. While working the accident scene, Officer Nava was struck and killed by a drunk driver. After striking Officer Nava, the suspect fled the scene. Officer Nava was transported to the local hospital where he died shortly after arrival. The suspect was arrested and charged with DUI, and hit and run, and manslaughter.
