Description: Officer Nettleton was shot and killed after being confronted by several robbery suspects while off-duty. Officer Nettleton was at home in his garage when three gang members entered and attempted to rob him. A gun battle ensued, and Officer Nettleton was fatally shot. One of the three suspects was also shot. The suspects in the case were subsequently arrested and charged with murder with a deadly weapon.
