Description: Inspector Oneto was shot by a suspect who was smuggling illegal aliens. Inspector Oneto was shot three times in the head as he and Patrolman John Fouquette escorted the suspect to jail. Inspector Oneto died at the scene. Patrolman Fouquette was shot in the shoulder and returned fire. The suspect fled but was captured later that day.
