Description: Officer Oetheimer was shot and killed while attempting to arrest two suspects who had just robberd a liquor store of $300. Officers Oetheimer, William Balmer and Nicholas Magiore spotted the suspects as they fled from the store and gave chase. The suspects shot all three officers, wounding Officers Magiore and Balmer. Officer Oetheimer was shot in the chest and died at the scene. One suspect was arrested and the other escaped.
