Description: Police Officer O'Hanlon was critically injured when a tractor-trailer crashed into the rear of his unmarked patrol vehicle which was stopped on Interstate 1-95. Officer O'Hanlon had stopped a motorist for traffic violations when the accident occurred. The department vehicle burst into flames, pinning Officer O'Hanlon beneath it. He suffered broken bones, internal injuries and burns over the upper half of his body. Officer O'Hanlon was extricated from the crash and transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
