Description: Deputy Marshal Osborne was shot and killed in Marion County, Alabama by a known mountaineer and illicit distiller named Bell Young as Deputy Marshal and other U.S. deputy marshals attempted to arrest him. The suspect fled while shots were being fired at him and was later found dead of wounds inflicted by Osborne's posse.
