Description: Constable Ouzts and Deputy Danny Wilson, were shot and killed after Constable Ouzts attempted to serve a civil warrant. Constable Ouzts was shot and killed with an AK-47 rifle 25 yards from the residence. When Constable Ouzts failed to return to the office, Deputy Wilson and another deputy went to the scene. The suspects took Deputy Wilson hostage while the other deputy fled to his patrol car and requested back-up. SWAT team members entered the residence approximately 12 hours later and found Deputy Wilson also deceased. Their assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. A second suspect was convicted to life in prison. The third suspect was found incompetent to stand trial.
