Description: Trooper O'Brien came upon a burning house and was told that a baby was still inside the residence. He entered the house in search of the child. Although he was able to rescue the child, both suffered severe smoke inhalation and the baby died en route to the hospital. The damage done to Trooper O'Brien's lungs was so severe that he never fully recovered. Nine years after the fire, Trooper O'Brien died from a hemorrhage caused by his lung infection.
