Description: Patrolman Ogden was electrocuted when he moved an electrical wire that was lying in the street. The electric lights in the vicinity were not on which led him to believe that the power was not turned on. Patrolman Ogden was correct in his assessment, but unfortunately, when he picked up the wire and was about to wrap it around the post, the power was turned on to test the lines. The full charge of 8000 volts passed through his body, killing him instantly.
