Description: Ambush (entrapment and premeditation). Sheriff Olive and Marshal Rankin were waiting to board a train in the town of Echo. Unknown to the officers, an assassin was hiding and watching them. Sheriff Olive was shot once in the abdomen and died the next day. The suspects motive was revenge; Sheriff Olive had shot and killed the suspect's brother while attempting to place him under arrest.
