Description: Agent Oliver was shot by a suspect as he and five other FBI agents went to a residence in Cleveland, Ohio with a federal fugitive arrest warrant. Agent Oliver intercepted the suspect in the hallway of the residence. The suspect fired one shot from a .32 caliber revolver striking Agent Oliver in the chest, piercing his heart and both lungs. The suspect escaped but was arrested at a hospital. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. In an unrelated incident that same day, Special Agents Jared Porter and Charles Elmore were killed in the El Centro, California FBI field office by a suspect who was under investigation.
