Description: Officer Owen was responding to an emergency call when a car turned into his path. Officer Owen was thrown over the vehicle's hood, and slid 20 feet on his back, sustaining lacerations and internal injuries. Afer writing the citation, Officer Owen went to the hospital for medical treatment. A month later, he had another accident on his motorcycle while pursuing a speeder. Officer Owen was transerred to a local hospital wite severe back pains and neck and internal injuries. While in the hospital, Officer Owen died after a a blood clot burst in his lungs.
