Description: Officer O'Neal was attempting to quiet a disturbance at a saloon. One of the patrons, without saying a word, drew his pistol and fatally shot Officer O'Neal through the abdomen. Officer O'Neal's assailant was hanged the next day by an angry mob of townspeople.
