Description: Special Deputy Sheriff O'Bryant was shot when he responded to the sounds of gunfire. As Deputy O'Bryant attempted to arrest two suspects, one of the men pulled a gun and fired. Deputy O'Bryant died at the scene of a gunshot wound to the abdomen. His assailant was sentenced to a year and a day in prison.
