Description: Sheriff O'Connor was killed in a single-vehicle crash while in pursuit of another vehicle. Deputies from an adjoining county attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle refused to pull over. Sheriff O'Connor joined the pursuit once the chase entered Montgomery County. Sheriff O'Connor lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a tree. Sheriff O'Connor was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle were both arrested and charged.
