Description: Patrolman Odell suffered a fatal heart attack after he picked up two runaway juveniles at an apartment complex. Patrolman Odell received a call regarding two juveniles who ran away from a juvenile rehab facility who were located in an apartment building. Patrolman Odell made contact with the juveniles and detained them in the back of his cruiser. Patrolman Odell went back into the building to retrieve a backpack belonging to one of the suspects. Patrolman Odell returned to his cruiser and collapsed. One of the suspects were able to crawl through the partition, radio for help, then exit the vehicle and begin CPR. Patrolman Odell was transported to the hospital where he was declared dead.
