Description: Town Marshal Olson was shot when he followed up on a tip concerning a series of robberies at the local train yard. Marshal Olson and his officers caught several men in the act of robbing a freight car and attempted to arrest the offenders. One of the robbers opened fire, striking Marshal Olson in the abdomen. Marshal Olson was transported to the hospital were he died the next day. The suspects fled the scene but were later arrested.
