Description: Sergeant O'Rourke was shot and killed while responding to a call involving shots fired by a suicidal suspect. As the responding officers entered the residence, the suspect opened fire. Sergeant O'Rourke was shot once in the neck. Sergeant O'Rourke was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. The suspect committed suicide after a 20-hour standoff with police.
