Description: Deputy O'Connell had stopped suspect Jack Lindsay on Florida Highway 30 for a traffic violation. Unbeknownst to Deputy O'Connell, the suspect had jumped bond for a drug violation. As Deputy O'Connell approached the vehicle the suspect shot Deputy O'Connell twice in the upper torso area. The suspect realized that Deputy O'Connell was wearing his vest, approached Deputy O'Connell at close range and shot him once in the head.
