Description: Deputy Powell, along with other lawmen, was attempting to arrest a gang who had just robbed a hardware store. A gunfight erupted on the outskirts of town, leaving Deputy Powell, Chief Thomas Brumley and Officer Charles Lloyd dead. The four outlaws also died in this incident.
