Description: Patrol Officer Payne was struck and killed after she and Officer Mike Reyda responded to a vehicle accident. Both officers were struck by another vehicle after exiting their patrol cars to investigate the accident. Officer Payne was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer Reyda was transported to the local hospital in critical condition but survived.
