Description: Patrolman Perri and Sergeant John Nagle were gunned down outside Northlake Bank by three armed bandits wielding small automatic weapons. As Patrolman Perri arrived in a squad car, one of the bullets shattered the car window. Four bullets struck Patrolman Perri as he crawled out of the car with his shotgun. He was shot again in the head at close range by one of the gunmen. The robbers were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
