Description: Constable Perdue was shot as he attempted to serve a warrant to a suspect wanted on gun charges. Constable Perdue and two deputies went to a residence to serve a warrant. When the lawmen stepped inside, the suspect opened fire, striking Constable Perdue in the chest. Constable Perdue was able to return fire, killing his assailant.
