Description: Corporal Paschal was injured in an automobile accident and succumbed to his wounds two days later. Deputy Paschal was taking his wife to work in his personal vehicle when he stopped to assist a rollover accident on icy road conditions. As Corporal Paschal called 911 and informed dispatchers that he was going to render aid to the victims, his SUV ran off the road and overturned twice. Corporal Paschal was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Virginia State Police investigating the accident determined that the accident was weather-related due to ice on the roads.
