Description: Deputy Sheriff Parsons was ambushed and shot after responding to a 911 call regarding an unconscious woman. As Deputy Parsons assisted the EMTs to lift the woman into the ambulance, the woman's son suddenly opened fire. Deputy Parsons was shot and died at the scene. The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended.
