Description: Deputy Piquette was killed in an automobile accident while en route to the department's training academy. While en route, he and several other drivers had to swerve suddenly to avoid hitting a stove on the roadway. Deputy Piquette's patrol vehicle was struck by a cement truck and a tractor trailer that pinned him in the middle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
