Description: Sheriff Porter was shot with his own gun by a 16-year-old juvenile he had arrested for forging a check. When Sheriff Porter escorted the juvenile home to retrieve the merchandise, the juvenile concealed an ice pick. Once inside the patrol car, the juvenile attacked Sheriff Porter, stabbing him several times. He then gained control of Sheriff Porter's service weapon and shot him four times. The juvenile was convicted of murder and sentenced to death by electrocution.
