Description: Patrolmen Pauley and Herman Radel were killed in an automobile accident. The officers were on patrol in Delaware Park when their vehicle struck a depression in the road. The vehicle veered downhill and struck two trees. Patrolman Radel died of a fractured skull. Patrolman Pauley died of multiple injuries. A third officer suffered minor injuries.
