Description: Deputy Pool and a posse of lawmen surrounded a residence where a murder suspect was hiding. The suspect opened fire, killing Deputy Pool. Deputy JH Bickett and Constable McCalla were slightly wounded. The suspect was charged with murder and received a 10 year sentence.
