Description: Sheriff Presley responded to a disturbance call at a residence. When he arrived, he was informed that a possible intruder was hiding on the property. While searching a shed in the back yard, Sheriff Presley was shot several times by a suspect who was wanted by local police for kidnapping a woman and eluding a police roadblock earlier that evening. Sheriff Presley although fatally wounded, returned fire and killed the suspect. Sheriff Presley was the second cousin of the late Elvis Presley.
