Description: Deputy Pierson was transporting a prisoner from Comanche to Meridian when the prisoner gained possession of his weapon. Deputy Pierson was shot by the prisoner with his own gun. The suspect fled to Oklahoma but was captured 24 years later and tried for the murder.
