Description: Deputy Constable Parsons was shot as he attempted to arrest two intoxicated men who were trying to sell whiskey on church grounds. Constable Parsons was shot once in the chest by one of the men who was resisting arrest and died at the scene. The suspects fled. The shooter was captured 18 years later in California, convicted of murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
