Description: Ranger Pitney was killed when a large piece of a tree fell and struck him on the head. A work crew was trimming the tree at the Charles Mill Lake Campground when the accident occurred. Ranger Pitney was transported to the MedCentral-Mansfield Hospital where he died from his injuries.
