Description: Deputy Constable Pilcher was accidentally shot in the head by a fellow deputy when the weapon fell from its holster to the ground and discharged. Deputy Pilcher, along with two fellow deputies, were on assignment to investigate a burglary at a ranch. The coroner’s jury ruled the death as accidental and absolved the deputy of any blame. Inadvertent fire.
