Description: Officer Porter was on patrol near the intersection of State and Fifth streets when a vehicle turned left in front of his motorcycle. Officer Porter collided with the vehicle, was thrown to the pavement and struck his head. Officer Porter was rushed to the hospital where he died of a fractured skull.
