Description: Deputy Price was stabbed and shot when he attempted to question a suspect. Deputy Price stopped his patrol car to investigate a suspicious vehicle. Upon encountering the suspect, a struggle ensued. The suspect drew a weapon and shot Deputy Price five times. Although mortally wounded, Deputy Price was able to return fire and summon help. The suspect was apprehended in 1960, convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
