Description: Police Officer Pena was shot while conducting a routine traffic stop for a violation. Unbeknownst to Officer Pena, the suspect was driving a stolen car. As Officer Pena checked the driver's license, the suspect shot Officer Pena in the neck. Officer Gary Spell was also shot but survived. The suspect was convicted of first degree murder and executed by lethal injection.
