Description: Patrolman Parks and Lieutenant Charlie Faircloth were pursuing a bootlegger when their car smashed into an embankment, swung back across the road and crashed into the water. Both officers died. The suspect was charged with manslaughter, but the charge was dismissed for lack of evidence.
